Staying at the Fassitt Mansion always includes a full country breakfast in our dining room, expertly prepared by culinary veteran and resident chef Chris Darmstaetter.

Our Chef

Our ChefOver 15 years, Chris has been honing his craft and earning respected reviews in several US culinary “hot spots”, including Chicago and Atlanta.  Chef looks forward to bringing his skills to your stay at the Fassitt Mansion


 

Our menu is inspired by the wealth of ingredients from local farms and artisan food shops of Lancaster County and the surrounding area.


Each morning begins with hot coffee and tea selections, along with chilled juices, Fresh prepared fruit and warm baked bread products adorn each table.

 

Samples of our menu include:

 Stuffed French Toast:
Thick cut from Italian Country Loaves and stuffed with delicious combinations such as a Strawberry, walnut cream filling, or toasted oats, maple syrup and blueberries.


Crab Stuffed Crepes:
Our signature homemade Crepes stuffed with a jumbo lump crab and herb mixture. Dressed with a cinnamon L’orange Sauce.

 

Turkey Egg Scrambler Au Gratin:
Fresh local hen eggs scrambled with pepper smoked turkey.  This fluffy dish comes together with melted gouda cheese and topped with a seasoned potato crisp.

 

Baked oatmeal with honey, chopped nuts, and fruit served alongside

 

Or our famous (and very popular) Maple Nut Ring.  Delicious, buttery biscuit dough baked with a sweet, sticky glaze and topped with chopped pecans and walnuts.  We’ll bet you can’t just have one!
